Join the Board of Sustainable Eastern Ontario
Sustainable Eastern Ontario (SEO) is seeking enthusiastic and skilled individuals to join our Board of Directors. This is an opportunity to contribute your expertise to advancing sustainability initiatives, support environmental organizations, and help create lasting positive change in communities across Eastern Ontario.
What You'll Do
As a board member, you’ll play an essential role in:
Guiding SEO’s governance and strategic direction.
Providing feedback and oversight on programs and initiatives.
Strengthening capacity within the environmental sector of Eastern Ontario.
Our Board meets quarterly via Zoom, with opportunities to contribute through committees or projects as needed. Terms are typically three years, and the time commitment averages 3–4 hours per month.
Who We're Looking For
We value diverse perspectives and are committed to building an inclusive board that reflects the communities we serve. We encourage applications from individuals of all backgrounds, particularly BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) and Francophone candidates.
We’re especially interested in candidates with skills or experience in:
Fundraising and grant writing
Communications and public relations
Mentorship and leadership development
