National Capital Green Pages Directory
The National Capital GREEN PAGES is a regional directory containing listings of local products, services, businesses and organizations of Eastern Ontario and Western Quebec. This directory is designed to celebrate and support the many sustainable groups and businesses in the National Capital Region and to connect the public with eco-friendly options in their community.
There have been several print editions of the National Capital Green Pages Directory over the past decade. The most recent print edition was the 2012-2013 Print Edition.
The Print Edition was produced in partnership with the Peace & Environment News (PEN) and can still be picked up in the community at various locations and community fairs.
National Capital GREEN MAP
Sustainable Eastern Ontario launched the more comprehensive on-line version of the GREEN PAGES in 2012 along with a corresponding Green MAP. The map featured sites from the GREEN PAGES that had physical locations where people could drop by (such as storefronts, farms, offices, etc). The most recent edition of GREEN MAP was produced at the same time as the 2013-2014 online version of the directory. Note that some locations may no longer be active depending on the date when they were added in the past editions. Please contact the organization ahead of time!
The Green Pages were initially a print directory published by Seventh Generation Community Projects and available at community fairs and events. It has evolved over the years as a collaborative project that includes a print and online edition put together by Tucker House Renewal Centre, Peace and Environment Resource Centre, and hosted online by Sustainable Eastern Ontario. An interactive GREEN MAP was also launched in 2012 when the online GREEN PAGES was first produced.
The directory and map program is currently under review by Sustainable Eastern Ontario and its partners. Please note that some information may be out of date depending on the version you are looking at.
