The City of Ottawa’s new Neighbourhood Connection Office provides an easy way for neighborhood and community groups to connect with the City, so they can be actively involved in improving their neighbourhoods. It’s a Term of Council priority to “support residents’ ability to make sustainable choices, and improve quality of life”. The Neighbourhood Connection Office will certainly contribute to this. It makes the City more accessible for those who want to effect change at the neighbourhood-level and it promotes ‘complete, liveable’ neighbourhoods – the hallmarks of sustainable communities. Julea Boswell, from the City’s Neighbourhood Sustainability Branch was on hand to chat and answer questions about the NCO.
